Templers Hall Doubles Up for Mullins/Walsh

Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh put the early defeat of Tawaagg firmly behind them when Templers Hall followed up the earlier success of Palace Merano in the Horse And Jockey Handicap Chase. The bay was looking likely to get the better of Buckland Gold (front runner had been reeled in) when that fellow pecked and unseated Denis Hogan at the last.

Templers Hall, a ten-year-old, was gaining his third course and distance win. He won this event in 2007 and he hasn't won under Rules anywhere else. The 4/1 favourite here, the departure of Buckland Gold left him to come home twenty one lengths clear of his nearest pursuer, Corno Di Bassetto (EM)
