Killenaule trainer Andy Slattery successfully teamed up with his son and namesake for the third time in the space of eight days as No Patience landed the CorkRacecourse.ie Nursery.

The son of Epaulette attracted some support this morning but proved friendless in the run up to the six-furlong event drifting out from 9/2 to 6/1.

The champion apprentice threw down a challenge on the far side from his number one draw, and just held the determined late effort of Brosna Empress by a nose. Amazing Emma and Abogados both held every chance inside the final furlong finishing close up in third and fourth.

Slattery senior said ""He needs quick ground and seven furlongs and got caught for pace in the middle of the race today but it is great to win one.

"He is in a Claimer at Fairyhouse on Monday and might run.

"His owner Seamus McGrath is a really nice man who works in Croom House Stud and had him with Mickey Cleere for the breeze-ups but he couldn't get him into a breeze-up so Mickey told him to send him to me. Seamus is a pleasure of an owner to have and understands the game."

Khafaaq recorded two wins for the Slattery team in recent days at Galway and Tipperary.
