We had an odds-on victor of the first at Downpatrick with Rise Of An Empire and action concluded with the second winning favourite of the session when The Storyteller crossed the line in front in the American Dream INH Flat Race.

Luke McGuinness sported the Sloan silks on the Gordon Elliott-trained previous course and distance second placer, and the 1/2 shot beat Dynamix by twelve lengths.

The Storyteller led half a mile out, and he asserted a furlong and a half out, eased close home for the win.

Elliott said: "He's a nice horse. He wants further, he's more a three mile horse but we made plenty of use of him and it worked out grand so everyone is happy.

"He'll have a break now and maybe come back for a maiden hurdle at Down Royal."
