Fresh from his Punchestown success yesterday on Labaik, and after earlier going down by a neck on Canny Tom in race two, Keith Donoghue booted home a winner on Gavin Cromwell's Midnight Theatre (8/1) in the Birthday Greetings Handicap Chase at Downpatrick. Kilderry Prince hardly deserved to only finish fourth after his catch me if you can effort from some way out, but that was the way it transpired for the 20/1 shot who had no extra to give in the latter stages.

Point-to-point winning mare Midnight Theatre added to her maiden hurdle win, also from Downpatrick, back in March, staying on dourly to beat Capture The Drama by three and a quarter lengths.

"We gave her a little break and brought her back. She has been working very well lately, Keith (Donoghue) schooled her. She seemed to come to herself," reported Cromwell.

On stable star Jer's Girl he said: "She worked at the Curragh on Wednesday, she's very good."
