Nearly Famous made it three winners on the day for Jessica Harrington, and completed a double for Shane Foley, as she justified favouritism in the Book Your Winter Festival Tickets Online At fairyhouse.ie Claiming Race.

Harrington and Foley earlier won the feature race on the card, the Listed Blenheim Stakes, with Brick By Brick while the Commonstown handler was also successful with Beautiful Morning in another Listed contest at Yarmouth.

Nearly Famous, who is also owned by Harrington, won a Corinthian Challenge Race at the Curragh in July, and she was second in another race in that series at Gowran on Saturday.

Sent off the 5/2 favourite this afternoon, she tracked the leader in a close second. The successful daughter of Rip Van Winkle hit the front under three furlongs out, and she was ridden clear from the furlong pole, going on to score easily by seven lengths. Lost History was best of the rest under Gary Halpin for Johnny Feane at 5/1 (from 7s), while New Story (9/2) was another length and a half back in third under Ross Coakley for Eoin Doyle.

"She's a lead horse at home. She wouldn't have the best puff but that's why she's running in these type of races," said Harrington.

"She's grand and does what she does. She did the job today and it's great. If someone wants to claim her they can claim her."
