Henry de Bromhead is happy to let Special Tiara take on the formidable Un De Sceaux in the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham.

Special Tiara ran an excellent race to finish third in the two-mile championship last March before going on to win the Celebration Chase at Sandown the following month.

He was last seen finishing second to Sire De Grugy in the Tingle Creek, with that rival firmly put in his place by the Willie Mullins-trained Un De Sceaux in last Saturday's Clarence House Chase at Ascot.

Un De Sceaux is odds-on across the board for the main event on day two of the Festival, but De Bromhead feels Special Tiara warrants plenty of respect.

He told At The Races: "He's been in great form since (Sandown) and is aiming towards the Champion Chase. He was third in it last year, beaten three lengths, so I think he's a real good chance.

"He (Un De Sceaux) is a hot favourite, but you have to take these horses on. He fell at Christmas. I'm not wishing horses to fall, but he did.

"It will be on better ground (at Cheltenham) and I didn't think he was as impressive at Punchestown last year on the better ground, so we'll see."
