Graham Wylie and Gigginstown House Stud do battle in a hot renewal of the JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal.

The leading owners are both doubly represented, with Wylie's colours carried on Boston Bob and On His Own, while Gigginstown are represented by First Lieutenant and Road To Riches.

Paul Nicholls sends across Grand National fifth Rocky Creek, and he is joined on the trip from Britain by the Nicky Henderson-trained mare Ma Filleule, who soared over the big Aintree fences to claim the Topham Chase and has headed ante-post markets this week.

Nicholls has won the Powers Irish Whiskey Chase for the past six seasons and Wonderful Charm flies the Ditcheat flag this time on the back of a successful reappearance at Newton Abbot.

In opposition are old rivals Carlingford Lough and Don Cossack, who crossed swords on more than one occasion in top novice events last term, and Jessie Harrington's recent Limerick victor Burn And Turn.

The early pecking order in the juvenile division should be a little clearer after the opening Value Cabs 3-Y-O Hurdle (12.45), in which Willie Mullins' Tarabiyn tackles stablemate Verawal, as well as last-start winners Atan, Bay Hill and Dai Bando.

Velvet Maker was only seven lengths adrift of Supreme Novices' Hurdle hero Vautour when third on his jumping debut at Navan and although he has been sidelined for 11 months, he will have his fair share of supporters in the Tayto Group Maiden Hurdle.

There is a decent prize up for grabs in the Billecart-Salmon Handicap Hurdle, and Stocktons Wing certainly appears to have a race of this nature in him.

His owner JP McManus has claims with Gladiator King in the Daily Mirror (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race, while the in-form Kanesh strives to supplement his Ballinrobe victory in the Rainbow Communications Handicap Chase.
