Sam Curling's Troubled Times made a winning debut at 11/1 in the concluding bumper at Killarney.

The Shirocco mare was always handy and closed in third approaching the straight.

She soon led and had the field off the bridle inside the final quarter of a mile.

She kept up the gallop to win by two and a half lengths from Hot As Pepper (22/1 from 40/1). Mon Coeur the 11/4 favourite, was another three parts of a length back in third.

Jockey Pa King said: "She is a lovely mare and we were expecting a big run out of her. Her work was very good and she'll improve plenty from it. She should have a good future and jumps well.

"It is great for the owner Willie Cleary who also bred her."
