Burn And Turn justified favourtism when running out a comprehensive winner of the Bennettsbridge Hurdle at Gowran Park. Distant Memories cut out the running in the two-and-a-half mile event but came under pressure when joined by the market leader three from home.

Robbie Power edged head before the penultimate flight on Jessica Harrington's charge and she responded well when asked for an effort after that hurdle.

The 2/1 shot asserted before the final obstacle and kept on strongly in the closing stages to record a six-length win over Earlson Gray

The winner had run well on her return to hurdles here last time when chasing home smart mare Blazing Tempo.

"Her run here last time was very good and she did that well. She put a bit of distance between her and the others," said Harrington.

"She'll go to Punchestown now for a mares hurdle although the ground is important to her and if it comes up heavy she won't be going anywhere."
