This afternoon's National Hunt meeting at Uttoxeter goes ahead as planned.
Officials had intended to inspect at 8am but they were able to give the green light over an hour before that.
Temperatures did dip below freezing in the early evening but by midnight they were on the rise.
The going on the chase course is good to soft, soft in places while on the hurdles track it is good to soft.
The first race is at 12.30pm.
