Valseur Lido takes a significant step down in class as he tries to record his first win of the season in the Suir Valley Chase at Clonmel this afternoon.

The nine-year-old returned from a year on the sidelines with a fair fifth in the Leopardstown Christmas Chase back in December and has since filled the same place in both the Irish Gold Cup and Red Mills Chase.

Henry de Bromhead lowers his sights in this two-and-a-half-mile heat and Valseur Lido is favoured at the weights against each of his four rivals, with the Willie Mullins-trained Koshari next best on the ratings.

Mullins and De Bromhead also clash in the closing Happy Easter To All INH Flat Race with Castlebawn West and Deal With It respectively.

Former dual Flat winner Causey Arch makes his debut for Mullins after 538 days on the sidelines in the first race of the day, the Holy Thursday Maiden Hurdle, in which trainers' championship leader Gordon Elliott saddles Dorydalis

Elliott also has a live chance in the Ardfinnan Maiden Hurdle with Sweetlight D'Oroux while Denis Hogan also has a couple of real contenders on the card.

He fields I'm Serious in the Vee Handicap Hurdle while Mister Butler tries to build on two decent hurdles efforts when switched to fences in the Slievenamon Beginners Chase.
