Those that made Cheltenham and Punchestown winner Killultagh Vic a fives on chance for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase were on good terms with themselves throughout the two miler as the former 'pointer' successfully transitioned to the larger obstacles at Fairyhouse.
Ruby Walsh had the Old Vic gelding up there dictating from the third, he led before the sixth and eased clear from before the last for an un-extended fifteen length win from Arctic Skipper
Willie Mullins' charge pleased with his jumping and Walsh stated: "We knew he stays and it's great to win over two miles.
"It's testing ground. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards."
Mullins later remarked: "His jumping was fantastic. He was a three-mile horse over hurdles yet he can do that over two miles. The ground is very testing but it's good to be racing.
"Three mile hurdlers if they can jump fences can often come back in trip. I'd still be thinking of him as a staying chaser but looking at that I would not be afraid to run him over two miles again."

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Rogue Trader trained by T.J. Taaffe, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
N.P. Madden, rider of Rogue Trader, trained by T.J. Taaffe, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount came off the bridle early in this race and jumped to the left at some of the fences.
B. Hayes, rider of Say It Again trained by Noel G. Hynds, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled from flagfall.
