Voyageofdiscovery gained a fifth career success at Dundalk this evening as the Thomond O'Mara trained gelding landed the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Handicap (div 1) under jockey Tom Madden.

The seven year old son of Henrythenavigator gained his initial win at Wolverhampton in June 2014 and today got off the mark for 2018 when beating runner-up Lunastar by two lengths.

Afterwards O'Mara said “his Thurles run was a good run but he’s tricky and you can’t hit him. He enjoyed that and had alright form here before. It will be more of the same.”
