The Michael Halford trained and Sheikh Mohammed owned Warbird (3/1) made all to win the
Centenary June 21st & 22nd Rated Race at Gowran today, scoring under the trainer's retained rider Shane Foley.
Stallion Royal Applause was having his second winner at the venue with Warbird, which stayed on well in the straight for a length and a quarter win over Trinity Force
Afterwards Halford stated “it wasn't ideal making his own running but he has a bit of experience and liked it around there before.
“He's a straightforward horse with a good attitude and is out of a Galileo mare and could get further. He should progress and maybe something like the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot could suit him.”
