Mick Halford is looking forward to saddling Wild Dude in the Listed Dubawi Stakes at Meydan on Thursday.

The seven-year-old will be having just his second start for Halford having previously been trained in America by Jerry Hollendorfer.

He was a dual Grade One winner in the US and while he failed to make an impact on his debut for Halford in the Korea Sprint in Seoul last September, Halford is keen to see how he fares in this Listed heat.

He said: "He is an exciting addition to our team as he is a real dirt horse.

"We ran him in Korea in September but he just did not act on the deep sand there, but Meydan should be much more to his liking and he seems in good form."

Pat Smullen will be on board in a race that also features the Eddie Lynam-trained Moviesta.
