< Aerlite Supreme (5-1) landed the P & D Lydon Plant Hire Rated Hurdle to complete a double for Michael Hourigan and Adrian Heskin at Ballinrobe on Tuesday evening.

The winner had taken it up from the well-supported Noble Inn after the second-last but looked in trouble as the returning Usa cruised into contention and jumped into the lead at the final flight.

However, the race-fitness of the Hourigan inmate, who won at Limerick 23 days ago, came into play on the run in and he got back up to score by a neck.

The same trainer/jockey combination got off to a flyer when Holeinthewall Bar (5-1) got off the mark in the opening Ladies Day June 24th Maiden Hurdle.

The six-year-old took it up from Monroe's Live after two out and never looked like getting caught as he stretched three and three-quarter lengths clear of Brownville.

The first-time tongue-tie worked the oracle for Imperial Joey (8-1) in the Treacy's Pharmacy Handicap Chase.

The hat-trick seeking Cheap As Chips attempted to make all under Andrew Ring, but the 2-1 favourite had no answers when joined by his stablemate two from home and Mark Enright pushed his mount out for a four and a half-length triumph.

Young pilot Kevin Sexton continued his fine form as he partnered Supreme Vic (14-1) to a thrilling head victory over Bye Bye O Bye in the Hollymount Nursing Home Handicap Hurdle.

Catch In Time was all the rage in the betting ahead of the Connacht Spring Show May 18th Handicap Hurdle but he was forced to play second fiddle to Noble Call (6-1), who recorded a comfortable two and a quarter-length verdict.

There was a dramatic finish to the Killeen Sports Grounds Beginners Chase as leader Bouncing Betty unseated Martin Ferris at the last when being challenged by Rodrigeuz.

That left the Charlie Swan-trained 9-2 shot clear and he eased home four and a half lengths ahead of Green Thirty Two in second.
