The outsider of three prevailed in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race at Ballinrobe as Upper Silesian (6-1) pounced late.

Favourite Dance With Another dictated terms to suit herself and saw off main market rival Lanyard before passing the two-furlong pole.

She appeared to have matters sewn up at that point but Kevin Manning was biding his time on Upper Silesian and, despite not looking entirely at home on the track, she hit top gear inside the final 100 yards to get up by half a length.< Rae's Creek made a successful return to action in the Ladies Day 24th June Maiden.

Jessie Harrington's gelding came up against the likes of Ruler Of The World and Venus De Milo last year so it was no surprise that he was backed in to 10-11, and after taking up the running on the turn, he stayed on well to beat Dalasiri by three and a half lengths.< Massini's Trap has been competing in smart company over timber for much of the last year and that didn't go unnoticed, with punters supporting him in to 15-8 for the Tipperary Water Handicap.

Favourite-backers never had too much cause for concern either, as he swept to the front rounding the turn and strode clear for a near-five-length win to add to Rae's Creek's earlier success for jockey Fran Berry.< Nancy Rose (13-8) put her experience to good use by battling hard to break through in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden.

The front-running grey was tackled by Zarawi and the newcomer Giorgi down the short straight, but stuck her neck out to prevail by half a length.

Despite the defeat, that was a really encouraging start to Giorgi's career, and her trainer and jockey, Tim Doyle and Wayne Lordan, gained ample compensation when Killourney Empress (5-2) came out on top in a thrilling finish to the Sheridan Electric Handicap.
