There was a double for Aidan O'Brien at Dundalk on Friday evening, including a thrilling success from Bishan Bedi in the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Awards 2015 Handicap.

A winner here earlier in the month, the 7-1 chance had a mountain to climb at the rear as Split The Atom stole a march on his rivals with two furlongs to go.

However, the trainer's daughter, Ana, got a fine tune out of the four-year-old as the pair flew home and collared the leader by a neck right on the line, with Togovile a short-head back in third.

The Ballydoyle handler had already struck with Oscar Dominguez who ran out an impressive winner of the Happy Christmas To All Our Patrons Nursery Handicap.

This time it was O'Brien's son, Donnacha, doing the steering as the 15-8 favourite powered into the lead over a furlong out and raced three lengths clear of Dashing Chief

There was also a double for Fran Berry, who brought up his two-timer with a dominant three-and-a-half-length victory from Rock On Rosie on Presenting Julio (5-2) in the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Maiden.

Berry helped In Her Stride (15-8) hold the late lunge of A Shin Impala by a neck to land division one of the Big Bad Bob Maiden, while the second instalment saw Alphonsus finish with a wet sail to justify 7-4 favouritism by two and a half lengths from Roman Impero < Political Policy made it three wins from his last four starts when coming home two and three-quarter lengths ahead of Brosnan in the Dundalk Stadium Racing Returns Friday 8th January 2016 Handicap.

Billy Lee timed his challenge to perfection on board Northern Surprise (11-1) in the opening Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Rated Race.< Poetic Choice looked to have done enough when forging a length ahead of Hat Alnasar inside the final furlong, but Tim Doyle's charge flew home down the outside to get up by a head in the shadow of the post.< Gold Not Silver held Masterchippy by three-quarters of a length to score in the Winter Series At Dundalk 2016 Apprentice Handicap.
