< Togoville is proving a terrific standard-bearer for the Georgios Pakidis yard and the grey notched his second victory of the winter in the Floodlit Friday Nights Rated Race at Dundalk.

Pakidis, who used to train in the United States, sent out a first winner from his County Armagh stable when Togoville struck at the same venue in early December, and he wasn't beaten far into second when attempting a follow-up.

Quickly away under Gary Carroll this time, the 11-10 favourite dictated terms all the way and pulled well clear in the final two furlongs to bear Plough Boy by four lengths.< Charlie Bear a well-backed favourite when second at the track last time, recouped losses when he ran out a convincing winner of what looked a decent contest for the time of year in the Elusive Pimpernel Maiden.

Favourite Period Piece was rushed up to grab the lead from a poor draw, but Leigh Roche soon had Charlie Bear (8-1) on her heels and Shane Donohoe's charge took over inside the final quarter-mile before striding away to score by three and a half lengths.< Rigid Rock (16-1) won on his second start since joining the Ado McGuinness stable when collaring long-time leader Acroleina in the shadow of the post under Declan McDonogh to take the Winter Series At Dundalk Handicap by a neck.

John Murphy's Nini OK (13-2), who has finally slid down the ratings in a drought lasting three years, caught Stoichkhov over a furlong out in the Dundalk Stadium Light Up Your Night Handicap and forged a length and a quarter clear under Seamie Heffernan.

Colin Keane got off the mark for 2015 when the Ger Lyons-trained 9-4 favourite Tennessee Wildcat asserted in the final furlong to take the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap by a length and a quarter.

Donnacha O'Brien and Sharjah followed up last weekend's victory in the Happy New Year To All Our Patrons Handicap, though Andrew Slattery's 13-8 favourite had to pull out the stops to hold Canon Law by a neck.
