< Rebel Fitz stamped his class on the Deacy Gilligan Novice Chase, completing a four-timer in impressive style at Galway.< Lord Ben led for much of the contest, but Mick Winters' charge was irresistible, jumping sweetly for Barry Geraghty and brushing aside the tiring Lord Ben after the third last.

Two more excellent leaps at the final two fences sealed the contest, and the 4-9 favourite came home eight and a half lengths clear of Saint Gervais < Que Pasa made it three wins from her last four starts when landing the Easyfix Rubber Products Novice Hurdle.

Favourite Indevan took up the running at the last, but Barry Geraghty had still yet to ask a question of the 4-1 winner, who quickened nicely after the last to score by four lengths.

Willie Mullins' French import Vicky De L'Oasis showed she has acclimatised well with a bloodless victory in the Anglo Printers Maiden Hurdle.< Knightsone led entering the home straight, but he was under pressure while Ruby Walsh, who notched a double on the card, sat motionless on the 11-8 favourite.

Walsh let out an inch of rein after the last and she shot clear, eventually leaving Knightsone trailing by nine lengths at the line.

Walsh's second win came on his father Ted's Rossvoss in the J.J. Rhatigan And Company Maiden, but he was made to work harder this time.< Holeinthewall Bar and Minella Fiveo made it a three-way go for the line, but Walsh drove the 11-4 chance home, beating Holeinthewall Bar by a length and a quarter.< Paudi The Punter (20-1) gave Mikey Fogarty his first winner on his first ride since turning professional when finishing well to land the O'Leary Insurances Handicap Hurdle.

The Colm Quinn BMW Handicap Chase produced a thrilling finish, with Philip Enright's mount Ballylibert (8-1) hanging on to beat Limerick Lane by a nose.
