Brian Ellison's decision to send Topaz Mile third Baraweez into action again paid off when the four-year-old landed the feature race on the final day of the Galway Festival, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Ahonoora' Handicap.

It was a personal triumph for the Yorkshire trainer as he also saddled the third home Pacific Heights with Jack's Revenge splitting them to complete a clean sweep for the British raiders.

Pacific Heights led for most of the way, but Colm O'Donoghue swept past on Baraweez just inside the final furlong and the 4-1 joint-favourite was always holding the late charge of Jack's Revenge, winning by half a length.< Fosters Cross has had good times at Ballybrit in the past and the Tom Mullins-trained veteran picked up another decent prize when he landed the Lord Hemphill Memorial Handicap Chase.

Unplaced in Monday's feature race on the level, the 12-1 shot was pushed into the lead on the final bend by Davy Russell, who kept him going to withstand the spirited challenge of Pires by half a length.

The classy Ted Veale (6-5 favourite) gave Tony Martin a fifth success of the week when he fought off Clonbanan Lad in the At The Races Beginners Chase, and the handler made it six when 5-2 favourite Pyromaniac just held Pivot Bridge in a thrilling finish to the Trappers Inn Handicap.

There was a dramatic conclusion to the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle when Lost Book made a mess of the last and got rid of her rider, allowing Jody McGarvey to drive Christy Roche's Park Ranger (12-1) to an unlikely victory by a length and three-quarters.< Blossom Gate (18-1) gave Yvonne Latta her second victory as a trainer as she romped away with the Vision Express Handicap Hurdle after jumping ahead at the second-last in the hands of Robbie Power, winning by six and a half lengths.
