< Tropical Mist (6-1) delivered on her promising debut performance when getting off the mark at the second time of asking in the Paulstown Fillies Maiden at Gowran Park.

Runner-up to impressive winner Akira over this seven-furlong course earlier in the month, George Kent's filly showed the benefit of that outing by beating Bronte by half a length.

The Danny Grant-ridden winner led through the early part of the race and although seemingly headed by eventual third Nabat Sultan passing the two-furlong marker, she had the rail for assistance and fought back bravely to emerge on top.

The choicely-bred Flashy Approach made the perfect start to his career in the Like Us On Facebook Maiden.

Trained by John Oxx for owner Jaber Abdullah, the New Approach colt is out of classy performer Flashy Wings and lived up to his pedigree.

Just like the opening contest, having the inside rail proved crucial for the 6-4 favourite, who responded willingly to Declan McDonogh's urgings and pulled two lengths clear of Wexford Opera

Once again a low draw was key as Queen Of The Sands, who broke from stall two, claimed the Ladies Day 23rd June At Gowran Park Handicap.

The Ger Lyons-trained filly was able to settle in behind the early pace-setters and she got a perfect run up the inside when Colin Keane asked for maximum effort.

The 10-1 shot appreciated the fast ground and stayed on well to beat King Oliver who had cut out most of the running, by a neck.< Brown Butterfly justified 9-10 favouritism under Sam James in the Bennettsbridge Rated Race, though Great Soprano made her fight.

Great Soprano hit the front at the furlong pole but the Kevin Prendergast-trained winner went with her and eventually got on top to score by half a length.

Mick Halford and Shane Foley continued their good run of form with Red Laser in division one of the www.gowranpark.ie Handicap, while the second instalment saw Grant complete a double on Pat Flynn's Knights Templar (4-1).
