< Tennessee Wildcat continued his progress with a determined success in the Copper Face Jacks Glencairn Stakes, the feature event at Leopardstown on Thursday evening.

The outsider of the quartet at 7-1, Ger Lyons' charge tracked Captain Joy into the home straight and the pair pulled clear in an exciting finish.

Colin Keane's mount forged ahead close home and landed the Listed contest by three-quarters of a length.

Brendan Backan nicked third place from My Titania who was sent off 10-11 favourite on her seasonal reappearance but John Oxx's filly couldn't land a serious blow after failing to settle in the early stages.< Tanaza (2-1fav) created a favourable impression when making a winning debut in the opening Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden.

The well-related Dubawi filly stormed down the outside to take it up from Aidan O'Brien newcomer Minding inside the final furlong and went on to give Dermot Weld a first two-year-old winner of the season by two and a half lengths.

O'Brien had better luck with his other debutant as Port Douglas (4-5fav) landed the odds in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. (C & G) Maiden.

The Galileo colt kept a close eye on pacesetter Fisherman's Blues before quickening up nicely when Joseph O'Brien pushed the button and pulled three and a quarter lengths clear.< Witty Repartee gained a deserved victory when justifying 2-1 favouritism in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Handicap.

Following three good efforts in defeat this term, the four-year-old was sent to the front by Chris Hayes off the home turn and saw off the attentions of Annagh Haven with a length and a quarter to spare.< Maudlin Magdalen (10-1) proved tough to reel in under Ian Queally in the Friends Of Dublin Football Apprentice Handicap.

Having hit the front before the halfway point in the one-mile contest, Donal Kinsella's charge repelled the late challenge of Mezogiorno to score by a length.

In a thrilling finish to the Paddy Casey Handicap, Uno Voce flew home to spring a 16-1 surprise with a head success
