< Gustav Klimt showed off his Classic credentials with an impressive victory in the Ballylinch Stud 2,000 Guineas Trial Stakes at Leopardstown.

Off since winning the Superlative Stakes at Newmarket last summer, Aidan O'Brien's colt was settled at the rear of the four-runner field as his stablemates Kenya and U S Navy Flag took them along.

The Dermot Weld-trained Imaging looked like spoiling the Ballydoyle party but 6-4 favourite Gustav Klimt wore him down under Ryan Moore and won cosily by a length and three-quarters.

The P.W. McGrath Memorial Ballysax Stakes also saw an O'Brien trio taken on by a sole Weld runner, and Nelson led home a clean sweep for the champion trainer.

The 7-4 shot made the running under Donnacha O'Brien and pulled out plenty to fend off Delano Roosevelt by half a length, with disappointing favourite The Pentagon just beating Burgundy Boy to third.< Who's Steph s victory in the Ballylinch Stud 'Priory Belle' 1,000 Guineas Trial Stakes was the highlight of a double for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane.

The prominently-ridden 10-1 chance was there to be shot at in the straight but stuck her neck out and held off Yulong Gold Fairy by a length and a half, with I Can Fly a close-up third.< Future Proof (5-2) made a winning debut in the Leopardstown 'Summer Bundle' Maiden for Lyons and Keane, while Pat Martin's 5-1 joint-favourite No Way Jack landed the Bulmers Live At Leopardstown Handicap.< Xenobia (9-2) ran out an impressive winner of the Foxrock Cup Handicap.

Bill Farrell's filly travelled strongly into the lead shortly after the two-furlong pole and came two and three-quarter lengths clear of Knowing You < Crecerelle looked set for glory in the TRI Equestrian Handicap when hitting the front a furlong out, but he was reeled in by the Jim Bolger-trained Cimeara (14-1) close home.
