Denis O'Regan won on his sole mount of the day at Limerick as Bobbie's Diamond ground out victory in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle.

It was not all plain sailing for O'Regan on the 9-4 chance, who was forced to niggle the Tony Martin-trained runner all the way round the home bend.

He got on terms with favourite Pakman after the last though, and ran on well to score by five and a half lengths.

Settled just behind the principals by Brien Kane, the 2-1 chance looked to be going much better than the market leader, but she would not go down without a fight and was only a neck behind Gavin Cromwell's mare at the line.

Conor Brassil guided Andrew McNamara's Stolberg (3-1 co-favourite) to victory in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle, coming home two and a quarter lengths clear of He Is Top Class < King Blue (13-8 favourite) came out on top in the Follow Limerick Racecourse on Facebook Handicap Chase for trainer Ross O'Sullivan and jockey Jack Kennedy, while the Racing Again At Limerick April 23rd Flat Race went the way of the Pat Doyle-trained newcomer Mossback (8-1), who gave young amateur Evan Dwan his first win from only his second ride under Rules.
