< The Four Elms made it fourth time lucky over obstacles in the opening McMahons.ie Family Fun Day 1st April Hurdle at Limerick.

John Joe Walsh's juvenile failed to make an impression against Darroun in a decent maiden at Leopardstown in January but was sent off the 9-4 favourite to take advantage of this opportunity.

Previous winner Wrekin Rock tried to make all but Francis McCurtin was alive to the move and timed his run perfectly, taking over at the last and drawing two and a quarter lengths clear of the long-time leader.

Willie Mullins notched a double on the day, with Immediate Response and Theleze obliging for the champion trainer.

The former was completing a hat-trick of wins since joining the Muine Beag maestro and readily defied a 20lb hike in the ratings for his latest Thurles strike in the Mothers Day Weekend Handicap Hurdle.

Patrick Mullins guided the 11-10 favourite to a three and a half-length defeat of Friendly Society after a fluent round of jumping.

Theleze was left clear to land the Munster Supporters Club Mares Maiden Hurdle after her only danger Tellherimnothere crashed out at the last.

There wasn't much between the pair at the time but the winner, who had been in front since soon after the fourth last, was battling well and still held the upper hand under Andrew Lynch.

She ultimately coasted home by 15 lengths from Castlerock Rose with Tango Moll third.

Paddy Neville's Mackey Boy (2-1 favourite) recorded an all-the-way win under Paul Townend in the Tote Jackpot Maiden Hurdle, while Townend then doubled up on the Shane Joyce-trained Saddlenomore in the www.thetote.com Handicap Hurdle.

Elizabeth Doyle's Kauto Grand Mogol a half-brother to Kauto Star, built on his promising debut effort to go one better under Corky Carroll in the Munster INH Flat Race.

The concluding Greenmount (Ladies) Mares INH Flat Race went to Katie Walsh on Summer Star trained by the rider's father, Ted.
