Paddy Flood was left counting the cost of his fall from Himalayan Trail in the Grand National after missing two winners at Limerick.

Flood was supposed to be on The Tartan Army (7-4 favourite) for Tracey Collins in the Lisaleen (C & G) Maiden Hurdle in which Andrew McNamara deputised, and Faltering Fullback (3-1 favourite) for Eric McNamara in the Munster V Ospreys Hurdle where Paul Townend stepped in.

Paul Nolan has enjoyed a good season and looks to have another promising sort in Sam Adams (9-1), who won the Meteor Mobile Novice Hurdle by a length and a half from Bit Of A Devil

"This horse has a slight wind problem but we won't bother getting it fixed until he stops winning," explained Nolan.

"He'd be a bit better on better ground and we will head to Punchestown next and possibly step up in trip."< Bluesea Cracker (13-2) took advantage of the last-fence fall of Oscar time to win the Hugh McMahon Memorial Novice Chase.
