Ana O'Brien did her bit to add to the family celebrations following the Epsom Derby victory of Australia when she chipped in with a winner at Limerick.

The Follow Limerick Races On Twitter Handicap hardly compares to the great race won by her father Aidan and brother Joseph earlier in the day, but it nevertheless will have given the 18-year-old plenty of cause to smile.

She had to display patience on the James Nash-trained Pixie Spirit (4-1 joint-favourite) as she was stuck in heavy traffic before producing the four-year-old with a late dash that resulted in victory by half a length.

Ronan Whelan and Jim Bolger teamed up for a double in the colours of Micheal Ryan, initiated when Earth Drummer (5-2) found a late split in the Keywest Play Live 20th June Maiden and nipped through to beat favourite Zaindera by two and a half lengths.

Whelan, who rode out his claim with that victory, followed up when Maggie Dalton (10-3) arrived full of running in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap and quickly asserted to beat the favourite Talitha Kum by three and a half lengths.

David Wachman introduced a potentially useful youngster when Back To Base (9-1), carrying the colours of JP McManus, won the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden in eyecatching style.< She's Complete was sent off the 1-2 favourite and took the lead a furlong and a half out, but she had no answer when Fran Berry unleashed his mount, who quickly swept a length and three-quarters clear.

Michael O'Callaghan's 4-1 shot Case Statement was poised to strike entering the straight in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction (C & G) Maiden and powered clear to win by three and a quarter lengths after Fergal Lynch sent him on.

Johnny Levins' mare Money Spider (5-1) won at Tipperary on Thursday and the decision to bring her out again quickly under a 5lb penalty paid off when she caught Caim Hill close home to take the www.limerickraces.ie Handicap under Gary Carroll.
