< Cocoon and Ernest Shackleton shared the spoils in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Premier Nursery Handicap, the feature race on Listowel's mixed card.

The former, who was sent off 4-1 for Aidan and Ana O'Brien, got first run as he took it up two furlongs out but never really got clear and Jessica Harrington's 7-2 chance began to really close gap in the 50 yards.

He joined the leader right on the line and the judge couldn't split them, with B Cosmos half a length back in third.< Queen Anne held off the challenge of As Good As Good to land the opening Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden.

Wayne Lordan soon made his way to the front on the winner and they led the field into the home straight before being joined by the Ballydoyle representative.

The pair fought it out in the final furlong and it was Willie McCreery's 8-1 chance who pulled out more to score by three-quarters of a length.< Duchess Andorra (5-1) gained reward for a string of good efforts in defeat when winning the Listowel Track Fillies Maiden.

Second in five of her last seven starts, Joanna Morgan's filly stole a march on her rivals on the home turn to record a two and a quarter-length verdict over Trighra, who did some good work in the closing stages.< Count Of Carabass had to dig deep to justify 7-2 favouritism in the Feale Handicap, getting up late to deny Fix It by a neck.

The latter looked like he might have nicked it when hitting the front over a furlong out, but the winner stayed on well under Chris Hayes to prevail in a thrilling finish.

The National Hunt action got underway with the Listowel Mares Maiden Hurdle and Solita (4-1) landed the two-mile event from Lenora by a short head.

A mistake at the final flight from Lindas Choice allowed the JP McManus-owned Pleased As Punch (6-1) to score in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle, beating Chakisto by half a length, while Minella Tweet (4-1) pulled five and a half lengths clear of Illtakeitfromhere when taking the Bank Of Ireland Maiden Hurdle.
