The 2015 Champion Hurdle winner has been off the track for 665 days, last seen when demolishing the opposition by some 15 lengths in the Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown in January 2016.

Connections of this brilliant Germany gelding have admitted to feeling a degree of apprehension ahead of his eagerly-anticipated return to the track but champion trainer Willie Mullins will have left no stone unturned.

Stable companion Vroum Vroum Mag is another on a comeback mission as she ran well below her best in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle in April.

Apple's Jade lowered her colours in the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham two starts ago and although she wasn't disgraced on that occasion, the eight-year-old does have questions to answer on her return.

JP McManus is well represented courtesy of Jezki and Campeador and the former, representing Jessica Harrington, could be the one to pounce on any chinks in the Faugheen amour following his pleasing comeback run in the Istabraq Hurdle at Tipperary.

Cheltenham Festival winner Presenting Percy jumped well on his chase debut at Galway and has been presented with a good opening in the Grade Two Liam & Valerie Brennan Memorial Florida Pearl Novice Chase, while Tombstone looks the one to be on in the Ryans Cleaning Craddockstown Novice Chase for the in-form Gordon Elliott stable.

Elliott will be hoping Hollow Tree can get his head back in front in the Nally Bros Hyundai Supporting Longford GAA Handicap Hurdle following a couple of solid placed efforts, while Stooshie has done enough in recent outings to suggest he's up to winning the Tattersalls Ireland Irish EBF Auction Maiden Hurdle.

Action gets underway at 12.00 with the Donohue Marquees Risk Of Thunder Chase and Josies Orders will be popular for last year's winning trainer/jockey/owner combination, while Oscars Den can continue his good form in the Irish Daily Mirror Handicap Hurdle, likewise Rapid Escape in the Pun
