Noel Meade has high hopes for Go Native after the 4-7 shot landed the odds in the Friends of Tipperary Hurdle.
Paul Carberry bided his time on the six-year-old, while Carthalawn set the pace before going to the front at the second-last flight.
The odds-on favourite quickly went clear and won cosily by three and a half lengths.
"You could train this horse on a lead as he doesn't take any work and he's very clear winded," said Meade.
"He's a very smart horse and he's probably best when fresh. I don't think he was at his best when finishing fourth behind Hurricane Fly at Punchestown.
"He will go to Down Royal next where there is a race for second year novices and we'll take it from there."

Russell then made all the running Fosters Cross, the 11-8 favourite, in the Tipperary Supporters Club Joe Mac Novice Hurdle.
"He ran well last winter on soft ground, which he doesn't like," said trainer Tom Mullins.

Edward Lynam's pacey six-year-old beat Dohasa by three-quarters of a length in the hands of Fran Berry.
Lynam said: "He only needs to go up one pound and after that I think he'll go up enough.
"Fran gave him a great ride and he gets on very well with him."
Berry was completing his brace having earlier won on the John Oxx-trained Julie's Jet in the Longfield Stables EBF Maiden.
