< Farrells Fancy lived up to the promise of his eyecatching jumps debut with a successful return from a six-month lay-off in the Tipperary Supporters Club Maiden Hurdle.

Terence O'Brien's seven-year-old, who split Last Instalment and The Real Article at Limerick in April, was sent of the 2-1 favourite in the hands of Tom Doyle.

Never far off the pace, he swept aside Sea Of Thunder after the second-last and held Worldly Wise s challenge by three-quarters of a length with a bit to spare.

Doyle completed a double when the Jim Culloty-trained Barel Of Laughs (6-1), a final-flight faller over hurdles when last seen, took the Blue & Gold Beginners Chase.

Denis Hogan kept him going to beat Forjoetheplumber by four and three-quarter lengths, with favourite Rivage d'Or looking menacing until he hit two out and ran out of steam in third.

Tom Hogan's Flycorn (7-4 favourite) built on a promising Navan second to land the first division of the Visit Tipperary Maiden Hurdle in cosy fashion, taking over on the run to the last in the hands of John Cullen and forging four lengths clear.

The Charles Byrnes-trained Captain Dancer (3-1) had to give weight all round on his hurdling debut in the second division but never gave supporters a moment's worry, jumping ahead at the last and easing a length and three-quarters clear with Davy Russell barely moving.

Shay Barry collared Coole Avenue and Winterdown Star in the straight to take the 2012 Tipperary Supporters Club Handicap Hurdle by a length on Pat Kelly's 20-1 shot Major Harry
