Paul Flynn's fencing debutant Bremen capitalised on the fall of favourite Lucky William to land the Tipperary The Home Of Liam McCarthy Beginners Chase.

Lucky William coasted along in front on the home turn and Bryan Cooper was looking around for non-existent dangers on the run to the second-last fence.

The six-year-old seemed to jump it well enough, but he crumpled to the ground and Bremen (8-1), who was the only rival still in contention, galloped on to score by six lengths in the hands of Barry Geraghty.

Jumping at the business end of the race also sorted out the Blue & Gold Beginners Chase, which produced a first career victory for the John Walsh-trained 5-2 favourite Island Wood < Big Secret travelled well but came down two out, and John The Soldier s blunder at the last removed any last threat to the Kevin Coleman-ridden winner, who scored by three and a half lengths.

Paul Nolan's Far Away So Close has been knocking on the door for some time and finally broke his duck with an all-the-way victory in the Visit Tipperary Maiden Hurdle (Div I).

Alain Cawley, returning from an injury lay-off, had his rivals in trouble jumping the second-last and though Apt Manor stuck on well, she was never a threat as Far Away So Close (13-8) scored by two and a half lengths.

There was plenty of money for John Hanlon's once-raced bumper winner Hidden Cyclone in the second division and he didn't disappoint.

Andrew McNamara made a decisive move on the home turn, accelerating smoothly into the lead, and the 100-30 favourite came clear in the straight to win eased down by seven lengths.

Paul Carberry rode a patient race on Anshan Dreams (9-4 favourite) in the Tipperary Supporter's Club 25th Anniversary Dinner 3rd December Maiden Hurdle, leading on the run to the last to beat Belord a shade cosily by half a length.

The writing looked on the wall for 2-1 favourite Ella Watson when Ephorus took over in the 2011 Tipperary Supporter's Club Handicap Hurdle, but the mare rallied under Ruby Walsh and won by a length and a quarter
