< Fisher Bridge earned a measure of compensation for his narrow defeat in the Munster National last time out when he took the feature Casey Enterprise Chase at Wexford.

The Noel Meade-trained seven-year-old was sent off a 9-4 chance and was never far off the pace under Davy Condon before challenging for the lead at the second-last fence.

He went on with Lucky At Last on the turn for the straight and after jumping the last locked together, it was Fisher Bridge who proved the stronger as he forged ahead to score by a neck.

There was plenty of confidence behind Araucaria in the Bunclody Mares Hurdle and the John Kiely-trained 8-15 favourite stamped her class on the race to win with complete authority.

Andrew McNamara was always travelling sweetly on the six-year-old and moved up smoothly to challenge for the lead on the turn into the straight before coasting clear to beat the staying-on Model County Lass by six lengths.

It was a red-letter day for trainer Sean Byrne and his amateur rider son, also Sean, as they teamed up to land a double.< Steel Park (9-2) responded gamely to his rider's driving to edge out Worldly Wise by a neck after a duel up the straight in the New Ross Maiden Hurdle.

Then Lead Kindly Light (10-1) made a decisive move approaching the third-last in the Ferens Handicap Hurdle, stringing out the opposition before staying on too strongly for Korean to win by four lengths.< Spill The Beans looked set for a debut victory over fences as he travelled best into the closing stages of the Carne Beginners Chase, but Kevin O'Donnell's More Claret (14-1) refused to go away and she worried him out of it to score by five and a half lengths under Tom Doyle.

Favourite Jack Bene made a valiant attempt to beat off all-comers in the Gorey Maiden Hurdle, but he was caught two out by Captain Declan and Paul Carberry forced the Paul Nolan-trained 12-1 shot home by three-quarters of a length.
