Melodic Rendezvous could return to action at Exeter on Sunday week.

The nine-year-old, who is entered in both the JLT Novices' Chase and the Racing Post Arkle Trophy at the Cheltenham Festival, has been off the track since winning on his chasing bow at Bangor in December.

Trainer Jeremy Scott reports the multiple Grade Two hurdle winner to be back on song now though, with a trip to Exeter in the offing.

He told www.jeremyscottracing.net: "Melodic Rendezvous is back in full work after being on the easy list for a while. He tweaked a muscle in his hind quarters, but is fine now, and could run at Exeter a week on Sunday."
