Racing takes place this afternoon at Cork, and the going is now soft to heavy (heavy in places) following a further 7mm of rain since declaration time.

The action on this seven-race Student's Day card begins at 3pm, with the featured 24,000 euro Don't Step On The Crest Handicap Hurdle scheduled for 5.10pm.

Racegoers are reminded that traffic diversions are in operation both on the Limerick and Mitchelstown roads, and extra travel time should be allowed.

The Polytrack at Dundalk takes centre-stage tomorrow evening, while Navan race on Saturday and the Curragh and Limerick both host meetings on Sunday.

Navan is currently soft on the hurdle course and soft (soft to heavy in places) on the chase course following 12mm of rain overnight.

The flat turf season gets underway at the Curragh on Sunday, and the ground is described as yielding (soft in places) after another 10.8mm of rain overnight.

Limerick is now soft (yielding to soft in places) on the hurdle course, and yielding to soft (soft in places) on the chase course following 12mm of rain overnight.

The weather forecast is cold but generally dry today and tomorrow, with further rain expected over the weekend.
