Gordon Elliott has six horses declared on a seven-race twilight card at Fairyhouse on Wednesday and his best chance may lie with Delegate in the bumper.

Nina Carberry is on board the Gigginstown-owned gelding, who has finished runner-up in his last two starts at this venue and Down Royal and looks primed to make his first visit to the winner's enclosure at the track's final National Hunt fixture of the season.

Thatshowhedidit and Work Du Breteau, coming off a break of nearly a year, look the dangers.

Elliott's Dancing Meadows goes in the opening Support The Injured Jockeys Fund Maiden Hurdle, but Dave's Stamper, representing Shane Nolan, appears to have stronger claims. He was third of 21 in a Navan handicap hurdle in March and a reproduction of that run would see him go close.

Mick Halford runs two off the flat - Shadagann and Won Diamond - and they should be monitored closely in the market.

The Summer Evening Racing Handicap Hurdle is a competitive affair. Bog War and Sister Annie won their last contests while Inesperate, representing Tony Martin and Paul Townend, wasn't beaten far in fourth on his last two runs.

Brian Hamilton's Big Kern makes the long trip from County Down and he holds every chance in the three-mile handicap hurdle. He will relish the good ground on offer on his first foray into handicap company. Ballyfinboy, at the bottom of the weights, can pose a threat having bounced back to form when second at Tramore.

Elliott's Fort Smith has found it hard to get his head in front, being a beaten favourite on four occasions since December. However, he has been switched to fences in the extended two-mile-five-furlong beginners' chase and will be one of the market leaders. Jarob and Cara's Oscar should keep him honest.

Shamar, who reached a peak of 135 over hurdles, is an interesting recruit to chasing and is a good mount for Mark Bolger in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase. He runs for Keith Watson having been with Willie Mullins.

Windy Millie goes for her hat-trick in the handicap chase over three miles and a furlong. She bagged a point-to-point in Borris House and a hunters' chase at Cork.
