Djakadam and Road To Riches, respective second and third behind Coneygree at Cheltenham, renew rivalry in a field of nine for the Bibby Financial Services Punchestown Gold Cup on Wednesday.

Only a six-year-old, Djakadam defied his inexperience in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, staying on all the way to the line and just failing to catch the winner.

Noel Meade's Road To Riches was up there throughout and earned plenty of plaudits for his brave performance, especially as he has been on the go since last summer when he claimed the Galway Plate.

Gigginstown Stud hold a very strong hand, though, as ultra-impressive Aintree winner Don Cossack also takes his chance for Gordon Elliott.

As well as Djakadam, Willie Mullins saddles Boston Bob and On His Own.

The latter was second in the 2014 Cheltenham Gold Cup, while Boston Bob won this race 12 months ago.

David Bridgwater's The Giant Bolster has already made the journey across to Ireland.

Owner Simon Hunt tweeted: "The Giant Bolster has arrived safely @punchestownrace ready for Wednesday's Gold Cup. We are very pleased to give @tomcannon2 the ride !!"

Other challengers from Britain include David Pipe's Ballynagour, who ran so well at Aintree, and Cue Card, second to Don Cossack last time out.

Flemenstar has also been declared but is due to run in the Champion Chase over two miles 24 hours earlier.
