Aidan O'Brien, Dermot Weld and Willie Mullins have all made multiple entries in the Emirates Melbourne Cup at Flemington on November 3.

O'Brien's three-year-olds Bondi Beach, Fields of Athenry and Order of St George are among the 140 entries along with four-year-old Kingfisher, who finished second in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot.

Dermot Weld has famously saddled two winners of the race in the past in Media Puzzle (2002) and Vintage Crop (1993) and he has Manalapan and Zafayan under consideration this time.

Willie Mullins has four entries headed by Lonsdale Cup winner Max Dynamite, with Clondaw Warrior, Simenon and Ebor second Wicklow Brave also engaged.

Three-time runner up Red Cadeaux could return for another tilt at the famous race.

Ed Dunlop's nine-year-old was beaten four lengths by Protectionist last year having finished on the heels of Fiorente in 2013 and been beaten just a nose by Dunaden in 2011.

He finished eighth in 2012 and the popular globetrotter could be joined by stablemates Trip To Paris, winner of the Ascot Gold Cup, and Manndawi on the journey to Australia this year.

Michael Bell's Big Orange and the Roger Charlton-trained Quest For More, who finished first and second in the Goodwood Cup, are in the reckoning along with Tom Dascombe's Brown Panther, who finished eighth in Melbourne in 2013.

Hardwicke Stakes hero Snow Sky, who was last seen when finishing sixth in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes, is also entered for Sir Michael Stoute.

Recent Deauville runner-up Oriental Fox has been entered by Mark Johnston, with Andrew Balding's Havana Beat and the Brian Meehan-trained Agent Murphy other British entries along with Libran and Forever Now.

Godolphin potentially has a strong hand with Saeed bin Suroor nominating five contenders in Elhaame, Hidden Gold, Secret Number, Sky Hunter and Wadi Al Hattawi.

The Antoine de Watrigant-trained Gailo Chop is the sole French entry while German handler Paul Harley has Guardini.

Hokko Brave and Fame Game represent Japanese interests with Protectionist in the running to defend his title.

James Cummings, whose legendary grandfather Bart Cummings died last week having won the Melbourne Cup a record 12 times, has five entries.
