< Tulsa Jack stormed to victory in the Midlands National Handicap Chase at Kilbeggan.

Successful in the Cork National last year, the Noel Meade-trained 6-1 chance went in pursuit of stablemate Tom Horn when he hit the front after the second-last.

Tulsa Jack had much more in the tank, though, and stayed on strongly to beat Carriganog by 16 lengths, with Tom Horn third.< Chitu finished last on three of his four previous starts this year heading into the Best Dressed Lady Competition At Kilbeggan Races On 6th August Handicap Hurdle, but bounced back to form.

Off since landing a bumper on debut here last August, the 8-11 favourite had to wait for a gap to appear on the run to the last but it came in time and she stretched eight and a half lengths clear of Undefined Beauty

Her stablemate Daisy's Gift was a warm order for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase but after jumping proficiently in the early exchanges, she blundered and parted company with Paul Townend with over a circuit to travel.

That left Phangio in front but he was headed by Cecil Corbett at the ditch for the final time, and Gordon Elliott's 6-1 shot wasn't hard pressed to come home four lengths in front.< William Du Berlais was sent off at odds-on for the Like Us Facebook Maiden Hurdle but after taking it up after jumping two out, was collared by Lady Of Portlairge (10-1), who crossed the line with a length and three-quarters in hand.
