Pylonthepressure was backed as if defeat was out of the question in the Next Meeting Thursday February 2nd (Q.R.) Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel but the 1/3 shot had no answer to Kagney in the straight.

The Noel Meade-trained 3/1 chance cut out most of the running, and had the hot favourite in trouble before the second last.

Danny Benson 's mount stayed on strongly from that point, and the Downpatrick bumper winner had five lengths to spare at the line. Art Of Supremacy was soundly beaten another 16 lengths away in third.

Meade said, "He keeps going, jumped great and handled the soft ground well enough and did it well enough.

"We'll find a winners of one for him somewhere next and I don't think three miles will be a problem to him.

"Danny (Benson) is a good replacement (for Nina Carberry) and has lots of experience."
