The James Nash-trained Our Manekineko recorded his sixth course and distance win at Dundalk tonight when taking the mile handicap.

Gearoid Brouder produced his mount to lead over a furlong out and the 8/1 shot stuck on well in the closing stages to post a length-and-three-quarters win over Timia

The seven-year-old has been knocking on the door having been placed on his last two visits to the course.

“It’s been a while coming but he’s won six now so we can’t give out about him,” said Nash.

“He’s been very good to us. The owners had to be patient this time around and I actually thought he would have won before now. He did it well this evening.

“61 was his last winning mark as well. Hopefully he gets another one along the line as well.

“He’s paid for himself again for the time being again anyway. We’ll see if we can find something similar depending on what the handicapper does.

“Gearoid started with me two months ago. He gave him a very confident ride for a claimer and hopefully that will get him going.”
