Paul Nolan is considering a tilt at the Grand Annual at Cheltenham with Solita following a fine run in defeat in Listed company at Naas.

The King's Theatre mare was sent off a 16-1 shot for the Opera Hat Chase but travelled strongly to lead two from home in the two-mile contest.

She was outstayed by Slowmotion on the run-in, eventually finishing second, and connections are hoping a minor breathing op will prove beneficial to the eight-year-old.

"She might get an entry in the Grand Annual, but we haven't our mind made up yet," said Nolan.

"It's a possibility and we'll just have to see what the English handicapper does with her. I'd presume you'd want to be 135 or 136 to get into it.

"We were happy with her run the other day. She looked like she nearly had it won, but unfortunately she just got done out of it.

"We'll see how she comes out of it (having palate fired), but that little bit of a problem that she had might just have caught her out going to the line last time. Hopefully this might get a couple of extra lengths out of her."
