Clonmel now soft, soft to heavy in places

The ground at Clonmel is now soft, soft to heavy in places ahead of this afternoon's meeting at the Co. Tipperary venue.

The ease comes following 2mm of rain overnight at the course.

Thurles race on Saturday and the ground there is currently yielding to soft.

The forecast is cold and unsettled up to Thursday, but becoming mild and dry thereafter in the area.

Naas host the opening Flat fixture this season and the ground is currently soft to heavy ahead of Sunday's card.

Rain is expected later tomorrow in Kildare, but it is set to be generally dry thereafter.

Downpatrick also race on Sunday and the ground is currently yielding to soft.

It is a mostly dry forecast in the north with the odd shower.
