Dermot Weld had his second winner of the festival as Yulong Gold Fairy took the honours in the seven furlong auction maiden.

Leigh Roche guided her home as she picked off front-running Quizical inside the final furlong to get up and win by a length at 5/1.

Quizical, who was chinned by a short head at the festival on Monday, had to settle for second at 5/2f.

There was a four-length gap back to Captain Vancouver in third at 9/2.

Leigh Roche said: "She's a smart filly, and she had a very good run the last day in a good race at the Curragh. That form has worked out well.

"She got through it well (the ground). I think more of her class got her through it than anything else. She travelled and I just had to bide my time and wait for the gap. She quickened up nicely to the line."
