Fleet Review followed up a maiden win over course and distance just nine days ago when taking the Eleanor Comer Memorial Race for the father and son team of Aidan and Donnacha O’Brien at the Curragh.

O’Brien junior made virtually all on the War Front colt last time, and he adopted similar tactics again here although well-backed 11/8 favourite I Am Power threw down a strong challenge inside the final furlong.

However the 5/2 winner stayed on best of the pair in the closing stages to prevail by a length, with Boragh Steps a further two and a quarter lengths away in third.

Aidan O’Brien said, “He’s progressing nicely and I think he can improve again. He’s a big scopey horse.

“He might get seven furlongs but I’m not sure if he’ll get much further than that. He can run over five, six or seven.”
