Jeremys Joy went off the complete outsider of the seven runners in the featured Irish Stallion Farms EBF Connacht Oaks Fillies Handicap at Roscommon but belied dismissive odds of 25/1 with an impressive success.

Robbie Downey elected to hold her up at the rear of the field and she travelled well into the straight.

The five-year-old made headway between horses to lead a furlong out, and kept on really well to beat Byron Beauty by three and three quarter lengths.

The 9/4 favourite She’s So Flawless was a neck further back in third.

Winning trainer Keith Clarke said, “She’s a good mare and we freshened her up as she got a muscle injury on her last run over hurdles. She loved the ground being by Jeremy.

“I’m delighted for PJ (O’Brien) who has three in the yard with me.

“She won the next race on tonight’s card when it was run at Sligo last year but I felt the Connacht Oaks would cut up and be a better option. I’m a genius now!”
