Major Destination made all to open his account in the Connaught Telegraph Beginners Chase at Ballinrobe.

Sean Flanagan bounced out in front on the 7/4 favourite and he opened up a healthy advantage going out on the final circuit.

The Dubai Destination gelding came back to the field three from home but Flanagan had kept plenty up his sleeve. Logical Song tried to throw down a challenged at the last but couldn't find a way past the winner, who kept on well in the closing stages for a length success.

The winner had been third on his chase debut at Killarney five days ago.

"He had a good enough run over fences at Killarney the last day and it got his eye in and we said we'd keep it simple today and make the running,” said Flanagan.

"He is a way better horse over a fence than he was ever going to be over hurdles and he'll improve a little bit mentally from it as he is a backward fellow."
