The ground remains heavy at Listowel for day five of the Festival meeting following a further 3mm of rain overnight.

The €60,000 Ladbrokes Ireland Handicap Hurdle is the feature on an eight-race card at the North Kerry venue with the action beginning at 2.05 this afternoon.

There will be fresh ground on the flat and hurdle tracks today and tomorrow, with the outside track in use for both the hurdle and chase races today.

The weather forecast is for sunshine with the risk of showers.

Meanwhile the going at Galway is currently soft on both the Flat and National Hunt tracks ahead of a two-day meeting next Monday and Tuesday.
