Frankie Dettori has pinpointed Ulysses and Winter as Enable's most likely rivals in Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Chantilly.
However, having already beaten Sir Michael Stoute's Ulysses comprehensively in the King George at Ascot and with Aidan O'Brien yet to confirm Winter as a definite runner, it is hardly surprising the bookmakers make John Gosden's filly an odds-on chance.
Enable is expected to be supplemented at a cost of 120,000 euros on Wednesday and with a big field looking likely, Dettori is hoping for a decent draw.
"I am really looking forward to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, but of course I am feeling a bit nervous too," said Dettori.
"Anything can happen in a big race and the worst thing about it now is that we still have a few days to go, so it's a long wait!
"I expect it's going to be a big field and there will be a lot of dangers in the race. She needs a good draw and Chantilly can be a bit tricky.
"I don't doubt the filly's ability, but you also need a bit of luck in the Arc.
"The main danger for me is Ulysses. I am a big fan of him and he's a horse on the up.
"Obviously if Winter turns up she will also be a threat, but there is a question mark about her stamina.
"I mean you have to be aware of everything, but they're the two I'd be frightened of the most," he told his Ladbrokes blog.
French Guineas and Derby hero Brametot is reported to have been showing the right signs at home after disappointing last time.
He finished behind Eminent in last month's Prix Guillaume d'Ornano at Deauville, but connections have been happy with what they have been seeing on the gallops recently.
Al Shaqab Racing bought into the Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Brametot before he won the Prix du Jockey Club and racing manager Harry Herbert said: "He has only run one poor race in his life and there was a good reason for it.
"He had to be wrong. He just ran no race at all, he didn't even move well to post, and we subsequently found that he had ricked his back.
"He's a different horse how and Rupert Pritchard-Gordon, who looks after Al Shaqab's interests in France, has been very buoyant of late while Jean-Claude has liked what he's seen too.
"Thankfully he looks much better, there are a lot of positives going into the weekend but if there had been no change, we'd have been very worried.
"There has been a turnaround, though, and I'd like to think he's going there with a chance."
There have only ever been two German-trained winners of the Arc, but the team behind Prix Foy winner Dschingis Secret are hoping it becomes three.
Star Appeal and the filly Danedream have done their bit for putting German racing on the map and Dschingis Secret heads to Chantilly having beaten Charlie Appleby's Hawkbill and Andre Fabre's Cloth Of Stars on his last two outings.
His jockey Adrie de Vries told At The Races: "He's in good form, we've just been waiting for a little bit of rain to come because he likes the soft ground. He can't be in better form, we're really pleased with him.
"We don't think about winning as Enable will be very hard to beat, but he goes there with a really good chance.
"He couldn't win any better last time, he didn't have a hard race, he likes the track and we really fancy him.
"You would like to be drawn somewhere in the middle, I don't want to be too far out. Inside to the middle is fine, he's quick from the gate so can go any position. He's really uncomplicated."
Only the outsider Left Hand, who could run in the Prix de l'Opera, was taken out at the latest confirmation stage leaving 19 in contention.
